Lots of great music!!! Venue too hot.
A really solid, fun performance was given by Thrice live, my first time seeing them. I wanted to hear something very similar to their CDs, given Thrice's rhythmic style. We got a mix of classic songs and new stuff, which I liked. I would have liked to hear a couple more old faves, even though I understand they want to promote their new CD.
The band gave a great show, with John McCrea pleasantly grumpy and the other guys in the band seeming either bored or scolded. Either way, excellent musicians!
As someone else mentioned, John accidentally thanked "Milwaukee" at the end of the show. Oops! He explained about the ice machine keeping him up late. Unfortunate, right? Then he said "You try going on tour!" Ha!
A tree was also given away. Nice!
